Be successful in Finland's top growth area
The Hämeenlinna subregion is one of the most strongly growing
regions in Finland. In the Economic strategy 2010 of the
Hämeenlinna region we want to further enhance the growth factors
and remove the growth obstacles.
The goals in our economic strategy from year 2005 up to year
2010 are as follows:
- +750 growth in total number of businesses
- + 1 mrd euros growth in total turnover of the
businesses
- + 5 million euros growth per year in publicly funded
R&D and investment support
- total number of jobs growing up to 38,000
- improve the knowledge connections to Tampere and to
Helsinki
- new business activities within the chosen education &
research centres and innovation networks
- new business clusters
- total number of inhabitants growing up to 92.000
- balanced premises, apartment and also building lot
supply
- high quality leisure time housing building lot supply
- high quality cultural and leisure time hobbies
- functional traffic and data connections
